Martim Gois, a student entrepreneur majoring in Finance and minoring in AVP, was today awarded with IBM’s Best Student Recognition. In July, Martim will be travelling to Amsterdam for a three-day global event, where he will represent Finland.
Martim has taken multiple courses from AVP, namely the Product development project (PDP), the Opportunity Prototyping, and the Games Monetisation Design. In our interview with him, he speaks highly about multidisciplinary work, which during the course of PDP led to many innovative ideas to solve the client needs. He progresses to talk about the Games Monetisation Design course, where he came up with the idea of bringing some gaming fun to his startup Luteiden Torjunta Helle that helps remove bed bugs with a unique solution. The idea helped him get close to 2000 signups for his service.
Martim sends a message for Aalto University: “Teachers should encourage students to question norms and ask Why! and should make them think on their feet.”
Martim will be heading to Amsterdam on 7th July where he will be joined 80 brightest student from EMEA region. We wish Martim good luck and godspeed for the event and we hope he comes up with some truly novel ideas to solve the food wastage problem.
