Startup Minor

The Startup minor is targeted for those who see themselves as future entrepreneurs. Completing the minor will provide you an experience where you learn practical ‘street smarts’ for starting new ventures or joining a startup as an early employee. During the courses you will learn by doing together with people from various backgrounds and nationalities. The minor consists of the Startup Experience course, supported by 1-2 required core courses and a large selection of elective courses.

In Startup Minor, student will learn the essentials of:
– Founding a startup
– Forming a core team, founding a startup, and starting the building of organization
– Understanding marketing from bottom up perspective
– Searching for business models
– Developing leadership and innovation skills

The Creativity and Venturing minor is targeted to change-makers who feel that bigger is better. If you are not particular where you make your mark – big firm, NGO, startup – but want to learn how to spot opportunities and to champion new concepts and initiatives, this is your choice. By completing this minor you will learn skills in creativity and innovation, but also understand how to drive initiatives that can create change.

Strategy and Corporate Renewal

The minor in Strategy and Corporate Renewal is for students who want to develop managerial capabilities in strategy and new business development in existing organizations. These skills are pivotal in leading and renewing existing businesses. Taking the minor gives the you analytical capabilities to solve complex real life problems using data, people skills to build and lead organizations, and conceptual capabilities to understanding of development of technology and business.
