Would you like to learn to build a design-centric business for urban consumer? Do you want to join or set up a startup? How to build a street credible brand? If we get enough interest we will start a new project course Startups for Urban Culture together with Aalto ARTS during fall 2017. The project course Startups for Urban Culture offers skills needed to navigate the fast paced and unpredictable commercial environment.You will be taking a deep dive in examining trends and dabbling with exciting new ways to create you own value based commercial solution.
Examples such as skateboard brand Supreme’s partnership with Louis Vuitton, Absolut Vodka’s venture Our Vodka and how one man with team changed the epicentre of pop music from New York – London axis to Los Angeles – Stockholm axis are transformed into practice with the help of our domestic equivalents such as Napue Gin.
The course will suit a person who is adaptive, collaborative and creatively driven. Who is interested in going beyond conventional thinking practices to create effective teams and commercial value.
- Who can join: The course will be open to all Aalto students
- Pre-requisites: No pre-requisites but we expect that you are interested in starting new businesses and want to work hard in a multi-disciplinary team of Aalto students.
