We are looking for a Project Coordinator!
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to help organize the 2019 International Council for Small Business World Conference in Finland.
Founded in 1955, the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) was the first international membership organization to promote entrepreneurship and the growth and development of small businesses worldwide. Every year, the organization brings together students, entrepreneurs, educators, researchers, and policy makers from around the world to share knowledge and expertise in their respective fields.
Finland and Aalto University have been selected as the location for the 67th annual ICSB World Conference – which means the spotlight is on us. We are expecting in total some 1000 attendees for one full week in Otaniemi campus.
As the project coordinator, you would be responsible for managing the ICSB 2019 project at Aalto University. This means being in charge of everyday management of the conference preparation, as well as ensuring that all project services and products are budgeted effectively and delivered in a timely manner.
Your tasks would include managing time schedules, finances, and daily project work – which mainly consists of communicating with all parties involved, such as the ICSB International Office in Washington D.C., a Professional Conference Organizer (PCO), ICSB 2019 Academic Team, City of Espoo, Aalto Communications, Aalto Advancement and Corporate Engagement, as well as student organizations and the key player in the Aalto entrepreneurial ecosystem. You would also participate in facilitating fundraising and planning and executing marketing for the event. The task requires some traveling in Asia, Europe, and the USA.
As the Project Coordinator, you would work directly under the Local Chair of ICSB 2019, Dr. Olli Vuola, and also report to a high-level Project Steering Group.
The position is for two years and is part-time. The starting day will be agreed. Working hours are flexible.
Also students with experience on organizing large events are encouraged to apply.
Why should you apply?
- Being part of a prestigious international event with world ministers, world-known entrepreneurs, policy makers, prominent researchers, and students
- Getting experience on working in an international environment with highly professional people working in multiple fields
- Possibility to leverage your excellent management and communications skills
If this sounds like the right position for you, we would love to hear from you.
