Don’t spend countless hours researching only to keep it hidden. Your journey doesn’t end with just publishing your research online!
In this From Lab to Market event, Tuomas Tikka will share the remarkable journey of Kuva Space, from its early beginnings at Aalto University to becoming a leader in spaceborne intelligence. Tuomas will unfold how the initial concept for Kuva Space emerged from academic research, how they transformed their ideas into functional satellite technology, and how they navigated the shift from research to commercialization. Tuomas will also share insights on securing funding, building partnerships, and scaling the technology to address global issues. This talk will offer practical lessons and inspiration for researchers interested in bridging the gap between their work and real-world applications, with a Q&A session to dive deeper into the journey of bringing innovative technology to market.
From Lab to Market is an event series that brings together top entrepreneurs, industry experts, and successful academic innovators to show you how your research can move beyond the lab and change lives. We’re not here to promise instant global success or a smooth journey but to highlight the incredible support available within the Finnish Startup Ecosystem and right here at Aalto University.
