Veera Fristadius joins the AVP team as our new Event Coordinator, taking charge of our ever-changing event portfolio. Their primary responsibilities will be organizing and growing our current events, but there’s room for something completely new as well.
Growing up, Veera didn’t want to have anything to do with entrepreneurship. However, during their years at Aalto studying Industrial Engineering and Management, Veera has noticed that entrepreneurial skills — such as time management and communication — are a crucial factor in one’s success and happiness and wishes to help others realize this, too.
A key point of entrepreneurship — and university education — is not accepting things as they are, but trying to improve them. This is a mindset that Veera wants to bring to their work at AVP, too, and get to the bottom of what makes a great event.
Before joining AVP, Veera has gathered experience working with events especially for international students at Prodeko and AYY. Considering many of AVP’s event participants and students are from outside Finland, this experience will surely come in handy.
When they’re not working or volunteering in their guild, the student union, or other associations, Veera can usually be found pole dancing, creating art by drawing or painting, or watching movies.
AVP offers me the perfect platform to combine my volunteer experience, studies, and passion for sustainable entrepreneurship to organize truly impactful events for the Aalto community.
We are happy to have you, Veera! For more information about Veera, check out their LinkedIn. Feel free to get in touch with them!
