Matchbox Fall 2021 — Food Ecosystems & Climate Action

Winter is coming, and we all know what that means — Matchbox is back! Once again, you’ll have the chance to meet up and connect with people from the entrepreneurship and innovation community.

At the core of the event are our Startup Experience students, who take the stage to give their final pitches in front of our expert judges. This year, the teams have been working on two topics: Food Ecosystem and Climate Change, so get ready for some new innovations in the field of sustainability!

In addition to the pitches, there will be a keynote talk and a chance to mingle with our students, judges, and the startup community.

Meet the judges

Tuuli Hietaniemi

Specialist in Sustainability solutions, Sitra

Tuuli specialises in the climate policy of the European Union and Finland and also deals with questions on biodiversity and sustainable food systems.

Riku Eskelinen

Executive Director, Finnish Nature League (Luonto-Liitto)

Riku has over 15 years of experience as an environmental activist leader and an influencer in main Finnish environmental NGOs and politics.

Jyri Manuksela

Principal Specialist (Dr.), Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke)

Dr. Jyri Maunuksela has over 30 years’ of industrial experience in Biorefineries, Chemistry and Water Management.
