48 hours to change the world — join Junction and Aalto Ventures Program in hacking for a more sustainable future!
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the UN offer a blueprint for achieving a more sustainable future, by addressing the most severe challenges our world is facing. The problems are so complex that you’d have to be crazy to imagine they could be solved in just 48 hours. Well, a bit crazy is what we’re looking for!
Solve the SDGs is an online hackathon, where groups work together with world-class mentors to solve sustainability-related problems. If there’s a more impactful way to spend a weekend, we haven’t heard of it.
The hackathon is open for participants from all backgrounds; no prior hacking experience is necessary. We’re not looking for technical submissions only — anyone can play a part in solving these problems. As long as you’re a team player who thinks the world could be a better place, you’re more than welcome to join! Each team will pitch their final ideas with two-minute videos on Sunday.
Register for the hackathon by Friday 18.9. 6 pm here. You can sign up as an individual or a team.
Participating Aalto University students can earn 2 ECTS credits from the hackathon. If you wish to get study credits, please send a reflection essay with your name, department and student number to Professor of Practice, Lauri Järvilehto firstname.lastname@example.org.
