AVP has found its new Visual Designer, Amy Gelera!
Amy is a second-year master’s student at School of Arts, Design and Architecture majoring in visual communications design. Before coming to Finland, she has studied in Vienna and Florence, where she also finished her bachelor’s degree in graphic design.
Previously Amy has worked at an advertising agency as a graphic design intern and taken on various design projects as a freelancer. Through her work and studies, Amy has gained skills in graphic design, illustration, editorial design and animation. Currently, Amy is also the Head of Visuals at Dash design hackathon.
During her free time, Amy likes to keep busy with personal creative projects and analogue photography. In addition, she plays piano and ukulele. Her time at different universities in Europe has left her with great language skills and next she is looking forward to learning some Finnish too. Amy is also interested in politics and often wants to support different social issues through her work.
In our current global socio-political context, it is important to take action in concrete ways. That is what drew me towards AVP, I saw it as a chance to make this a less absurd world.
Welcome to our team Amy! We look forward to working with you.
