Reti Kilvet joins the team as AVP’s new Producer and will be taking care of all our needs for videos. Her role will include organizing and utilizing our existing video library and producing new quality content. Even though she sees this as a dream job, she doesn’t see herself as a video producer only — for her, video is just one good way to tell stories.
What she wants to do at AVP is to show the opportunities entrepreneurship can offer. She hopes to reach different target groups with content that resonates with them and to make them rethink what entrepreneurship is. And as she believes the best way to reach people is through moving images, videos will be her main tool.
Reti has taken the AVP Startup Minor, studies design at Aalto ARTS, and has always been on the creative side. She’s been working on videos since childhood when she was constantly bugging her friends with new short film ideas, but she’s not new to entrepreneurship either. She founded a dance ensemble back in Estonia, learning a lot more about problem solving and management, and later her first startup in Helsinki to join the Ignite program by Aaltoes. One thing led to another, and soon she found herself setting up the new Silta-program.
Now that Reti is producing videos for a living, it leaves more time for photography and especially learning to use film cameras better. As keen as she is on capturing things on a camera, her true passion is horses — she started horse riding at the age of six and has even worked as a horseback riding guide in the Estonian archipelago, where she still returns to ride every chance she gets.
Entrepreneurship is a great way to combine diverse skill sets into a meaningful outcome. Curiosity can bring people together beyond their expertise to solve a problem together. I am excited to promote this curiosity to the Aalto community.
We are happy to have you, Reti! For more information about Reti, check out her LinkedIn. Feel free to get in touch with her!
