Join us as a challenge partner and help diverse participants from across the world in building a more sustainable future!
Solve the SDGs is an online hackathon, where groups work together with world-class mentors to solve sustainability-related problems. The hackathon is open for participants from all backgrounds, countries and levels. Each team will pitch their final ideas with two-minute videos on Sunday 20th.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the UN offer a blueprint for achieving a more sustainable future by addressing the most severe challenges our world is facing. Aalto University is the first Finnish university to sign universities’ global Sustainability Development Goals Accord. For this hackathon, Aalto Ventures Program teamed up with the Junction community to come up with solutions to a selected few of these SDGs.
As a challenge partner, you’ll own one of the challenges. You’ll introduce your challenge on Friday at the opening event, if possible, and act as a mentor during the event by having video calls with the teams working on your challenge. Additionally, you’ll participate in judging the projects and choosing winners. We also wish that you’d publish a social media post about the hackathon and your participation in it in your own channels. We’ll help you with the post if necessary and re-post in our own channels!
